This Privacy Policy describes how Forrest Via Satterfield, candidate for Alabama House District 21 (referred to in this policy as "the Campaign," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit forrestforalabama.com (the "Site"), interact with our communications, contribute to the Campaign, sign up to volunteer, or otherwise engage with us.
The Campaign is a political committee registered with the Alabama Secretary of State under the Alabama Fair Campaign Practices Act. Our registered address is 740 SW Constellation Pl Dr, Apt. 202, Huntsville, Alabama 35801.

Federal and Alabama state law require political campaigns to disclose certain information about contributors. When you contribute to the Campaign, your name, address, employer, occupation, contribution amount, and contribution date may be reported to the Alabama Secretary of State and made part of the public record under the Alabama Fair Campaign Practices Act. Reporting thresholds and requirements are set by law and may change.
We have no discretion over what information must be reported. By contributing, you acknowledge that this information will become a matter of public record.
We do not sell, rent, or exchange your personal information with other political committees, campaigns, or organizations.
We share information only in the following circumstances:
Service providers. We share information with companies that perform services for the Campaign, such as payment processors, email and text-message platforms, hosting providers, mail vendors, and consultants. These providers are bound by contract to use the information only for the services they provide to us.
Government agencies. As described in Section 4, contribution information is reported to government agencies as required by campaign finance law.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Campaign, our supporters, or others.
Business transfers. If the Campaign winds down or transfers assets to a successor committee, your information may be transferred along with those assets.
If you give us your email address, we may send you campaign updates, fundraising appeals, event invitations, and volunteer requests. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe by replying to any email with the word "UNSUBSCRIBE" or by contacting us at candidate@forrestforalabama.com.
Federal law (the CAN-SPAM Act) provides certain exemptions for political messages, but we honor unsubscribe requests regardless.
If you provide your phone number through our website, a paper sign-up, an event registration, or a contribution form, you consent to receive text messages from the Campaign. Messages may include campaign updates, fundraising appeals, event reminders, volunteer requests, and get-out-the-vote messages.
Message frequency varies. You may receive several messages per week, particularly close to election dates and fundraising deadlines.
Message and data rates may apply. The Campaign does not charge for these messages, but your wireless carrier may charge standard messaging rates depending on your plan.
Opt out. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message we send. After you reply STOP, we will send one confirmation message and you will not receive further messages unless you opt back in.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies (including pixel tags, web beacons, and local storage) to operate the Site, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and improve performance.
